Inés Otero Rodríguez

if you know me, you know how much i love Spain, specifically Celanova. it’s a literal part of me. it is a small town in the northern part of Spain called Galicia. if you’re following the mag’s Instagram, you’ll see all the hidden gems this place holds.

i’ve wanted to share more about my family and Celanova in general, and trust me, there’s a lot coming. but, for now, this is how I'm getting started. my cousin Inés and i have been planning this project forever, and we were finally able to do it this summer after two years. she is one of the coolest people i know here, so why not share more about her.

what is your name and where are you from?
my name is Inés Otero Rodríguez, and i'm from Celanova, Galicia, Spain.

how long have you been living in Celanova?
since i was born, i also spent 4 years in Switzerland

are you involved in anything there, like a sports team or something for the community?
i was in a Gallego dance group, but my college schedule and dance schedules don't match up well.

what got you into fashion and art?
i guess part of my family always liked to go into the fashion industry. i was also influenced by the world of YouTube and influencers when they were starting to become more viral. i also have always liked art, paintings, sculptures, music, dance, theater, and more.

is it a passion of yours and would you pursue it as a career?
100% yes. i always say that i love art in all its expressions.

do you have a favorite artist or designer?
Bad Gyal
Nathy Peluso
ROSALÍA

what is your favorite song?
it's very difficult for me to choose a favorite song, i like so many artists and so many genres that i wouldn't know how to tell you. here's three:

1. O Mar by Mercedes Peón

2. BAGDAD - Cap.7: Liturgia by ROSALÍA

3. Zorra by Bad Gyal

what do you like to do in your free time?
doing make-up, listening to music, reading, playing sports, anything really.

what is your favorite aesthetic, or do you have an aesthetic?
it varies between boho, mediterranean and elegant.

have you done photo shoots before, and if you have, do you like them?
yes, i like them a lot. it's always fun transforming into a new person sometimes. the whole process is fun for me.

what is your favorite part if you have one?
getting ready. without a doubt getting ready, like doing my hair and make-up, and getting dressed.

what is your favorite thing to do in Celanova
going for a drink with my friends, going out to party. especially now that it's August, Celanova becomes alive. it's great to see everybody enjoying themselves again after a couple of rough years.

do you recommend anything for visitors to do or see?

the monastery for sure, also visiting Vilanova.

if it were up to me, i would recommend every single spot in this town. i can’t get enough of it. well, anyway, i hope this was fun for you to read. definitely check out the pictures we collaborated on together. she's one of the best to work with, genuinely a dime piece. te quiero demasiado mi chica <3
