concrete jungle magazine was founded by myself in the spring of 2019. what started as an idea that came up during a conversation in the cafeteria had helped me discover one of my biggest passions: creative direction.
i love telling a story through my art already, but photo shoots took it to another level for me. i learned a lot more than i could ever imagine: director and communication skills, sourcing and pulling garments, photography skills, and more.
alongside the photo shoots, i had an artwork section where artists from all over submitted their work and used the magazine as a platform to show off their talents titled “graffiti.” additionally, i had a writing section with articles being published about, well, anything. it also served as a platform for people to utilize their voices, and this section was titled “words.”
i knew wanted my ideas to leave my bedroom, and i thought that the magazine was the perfect place for these ideas to live on. my ideas are completely unique and each to their own, so there is no definite theme or image the magazine represented, and i particularly loved that about it. it’s a project i definitely hold close to my heart, and i’m forever grateful for being able to have done it for so long.

CJM Merchandise

these are some sketches, paintings, and digital illustrations i made to be stickers for my magazine.
i tried my best to sneak in “CJM” in every design.
