in my 3D Packaging Design course at FIT , we had to create a pooper scooper packaging and mechanism for dogs. i came up with ¡MieLda!, a limited-edition doggy package that includes honeycomb shaped pooper-scooper, honey-flavored treats, and paw salve in collaboration with MAES Honey. “Mielda” plays on the Spanish word “mierda” (meaning the cuss word “shit”) and “miel” (meaning “honey”), creating a fun twist by using a combination of the two producing “mielda”. the goal was to make dog waste cleanup more enjoyable. after researching Spanish honey brands, the concept aligned with MAES Honey, Spain’s leading honey company, founded in 1910. they’re known for their tradition and innovation in honey production, which felt right for the goals i was trying to reach with the packaging. the project evolved from a mini-purse shaped like a honeycomb to a simpler clamp design for a pooper scooper.
