SAMSARA Soju
Hanji Craft-N-Sip

another project from my Space, Environment, and Visualization course at FIT, were i was assigned to create an activation experience for a brand from our friends in the Packaging program. i was assigned SAMSARA Soju, a Korean soju brand that aims to elevate social gatherings by using flavors to foster memorable experiences. that said, i designed a Hanji paper craft-and-sip event, where attendees can explore the traditional art of Korean paper-making while sampling various SAMSARA soju flavors. Guests will also be surrounded by several Instagram-worthy moments and end the night on a delicious note with a communal dinner, where we will raise our glasses and toast to the memories we've created together.

the project scope required me to create a design brief, find a location for the activation, gather inspiration, create sketches and sketch models (quick 3D models of foamcore), a graphic palette,  an app that served as our storyboards, a list of materials, a graphic floor plan, an isometric view of said floor plan, 1-2 elevations, 2-3 rendertings, a takeaway that guests will, well, take away from the event, and an alcoholic display fixture (this also had to be in isometric, elevated and rendered. we also went ahead and made 3D models of them too.) finally, all of this material had to be put on a 15” x 60” presentation board, accompanied by a video of our final, rendered activation.

i utilized Adobe Illustrator, Sketchup, and Twinmotion to create this project.
